Joker's Parade
Well, I hadn't intended to write another song... since I don't think a song's complete without the music to go with it... but, following on from the previous post this came to mind.hehe... writing it I had a celtic sounding tune in my head... something like The Corrs... hmm... *shrug*
So I'm still waiting here for you
Tasting the rain as it rolls off my nose
How much longer must I fear the days
Somewhere deep inside hides my true face
So won't you wash these tears away
Clear the blood-haze from my eyes
These hands they shake
Inside I ache
But I hope you…
…don't see past this smiling guise
You don't know me from my laughter
My face should be painted red and white
Rainbow clothes I'd wear with pride
Bright, giant shoes to complete the show
No, don't wipe the tears away
See the blood-haze in my eyes
These hands are cold
Death's chill they hold
But I hope you…
…don't see past this smiling guise
Just a fool inside
So no need to hide
A jester's cap I'll don
Bells tinkling hung
Hear comic words
And all things absurd
Don't think at all
It'll turn out fine
Just laugh along
As I sing this song
But please…
...don't see past this smiling guise.

What a sad sad joker =(
haha... that's the point. It's the idea of someone putting up a bright facade for others, but on the inside is torn and hurting.
Would that someone happen to reflect you, at times?
Yes, I can associate with being a clown... it's where I gleaned the perspective from.
